- For roasted masala
- 1 tbsp coriander seeds
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 10 pepper
- 3-4 dry whole red chilli
- For gravy
- 2 big onions roughly chopped
- 4 medium tomatoes roughly chopped
- 10-12 cashew nuts
- 7-10 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- Remaining ingredients
- 200 gm paneer
- 1 onion diced
- 1 medium capsicum diced
- 2 green chilli cut into small pieces
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/3 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp kasuri methi
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- to taste salt
- 1 tbsp coriander leaves
- 2 tsp clarified butter/oil
Steps to make to make Kadai Paneer
- Roast coriander seeds, cumin, pepper & red chilli for 2 minutes on low to medium flame. Cool & grind coarsely. Keep aside.


- Heat 1 tbsp clarified butter in pan add ginger paste & garlic saute for 1 minutes, add roughly chopped onion saute for 2 minutes. Add tomatoes saute for 2 minutes. Add cashew nut mix, cover lid & cook for 5-7 minutes on low flame.



- Cool mixture & grind to fine paste.


- Heat 1 tbsp clarified butter in kadhai add bay leaf, green chilli & kasuri methi saute for 1 minutes, now add onion & saute for 1 minute. Now add capsicum cook for 2 minutes.



- Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder & mix. Add onion, tomato & cashew gravy saute till it's remove pan.



- Add roasted masala & salt, mix. Now add 1 cup water give one boil.



- Now add paneer, coriander leaves, garam masala & mix well. Cover lid cook on low flame 5 minutes. Relish with paratha or jeera rice.
